2024 Annual Hollyberry "Boots & Bling" Benefit

Camp Fire is gearing up for the 27th Anniversary of our annual Hollyberry fundraising event and reaching out to local businesses and individuals for your support through tickets sales and donations. Hollyberry is a fabulous evening of fun and festivities, featuring a Silent Auction, barbecue dinner, a Live Auction which includes delicious  home-made desserts, special family adventure packages and more. Your donation to our auction supports local youth and is a great way to showcase your business among our bidders.

For more than 80 years, Camp Fire Central Coast has helped local youth find their sparks, lift their voice, and shape their world through outdoor learning, creativity, leadership development and community service opportunities.

Here are a few ways you might consider partnering with us for this year’s event:

  ▪ In-kind Donation of auction item. [Examples: gift baskets, home décor, personal care items, artwork…]

  ▪ In-kind Donation of gift certificate. [Examples: restaurant, massage, golf, wine tasting, entertainment…]

  ▪ Table Sponsorship. [$500 includes dinner for eight. We would place an enlarged copy of your business card on the table and set out your promotional items available for guests.]

  ▪ Event Sponsorship. [$1,000 includes dinner for eight. We would display your banner at the event and set out your promotional items available for guests.]

  ▪ Ticket Purchase. [Tickets to the event are $100 each which includes dinner for two and one reverse drawing entry. Half-tickets and dinner-only tickets are also available.] Please contact Cindy Blankenburg @ Cindy@cindyblankenburg.com

Camp Tacanneko is a week-long traditional day camp experience for girls and boys leaving K-11th grade. Campers participate in music, arts-n-crafts, swimming, try-ads and starflight level. Space is Limited and campers may be placed on a wait list. If placed on a wait list you will be notified.

WHO: Registered Camp Fire Members. Every Camp Fire group with adult supervision, (No Pets), children under 4 by Request only

WHAT: Camp Cielo weekend Camp Out at Camp Maddux, located across from Lopez Lake Drive in Arroyo Grande.

WHEN: Friday April 26: 3:00 PM until Sunday April 28th: 11:00 AM

SCHEDULE:
Friday:

Arrive and set up Tent site- Dinner not included (on your own) BBQ areas available if needed. From 5:30

PM to 7:30 PM bring white T-shirt to prepare for tie-dye at the picnic table.

**** 6:30 PM-7:30 PM ALL CAMPER MEETING, SNACK AND CAMPFIRE

Saturday:

7:00 AM Breakfast

8:00 AM All campers morning hike

9:00 AM-12:00 PM- All camper activities

12:30 PM Lunch

1:30 PM Outdoor play or free time until afternoon snack.

6:30 PM Dinner followed by surprises, night hike, campfire, skits and smores

Sunday:

8:00 AM Breakfast

9:00 AM-10:00 AM Clean up camp site and all areas.

10:00 AM-11:00 AM- Awards, T-shirts and Closing Followed by departing home drive safely!

COSTS: include camping fees (tent site), food, craft activities Due by 4/1/24. Payable by cash or check (made out to Camp Fire) *after 4/5th additional charge of $10 per person.

CRAFT: Please bring 1 white t-shirt or pillowcase for tie-dye. For best results items should be at least 50% cotton.

-LEADERS: Have prepared a club skit performance for Saturday night's event.

This weekend will be packed full of fun for all levels of Camp Fire! It is a wonderful opportunity for leaders, parents and youths from all areas to have a refreshing outdoors experience! Leaders and parents, we will need your help! Everyone plans to attend and have a great time.

CAMP FIRE CENTAL COAST ANNUAL MEETING

Greetings Camp Fire Central Coast Members!

On behalf of the current Board of Directors of Camp Fire Central Coast of California, we look forward to seeing you all at our Annual Meeting. The meeting has been called on by the Camp Fire Central Coast Board of Directors and according to the Bylaws and California Corporations Code Section. The Annual Membership Meeting will be your opportunity as a due paying member to review business, hear updates, meet our board and team, as well as hear about upcoming Camp Fire Central Coast Council events and activities.  

This notice is hereby given of the Annual Membership Meeting for Camp Fire Central Coast to be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Office located at 1126 E. Grand Ave, Arroyo Grande, 93420.  Only Camp Fire Central Coast members who are in good standing will be allowed to vote and join the meeting. A brief roll call will be held at the beginning of the meeting.

At this meeting, we the membership will conduct the following business:

-Financial report for Camp Fire Central Coast Council for 2023

-Annual Review of Council Activities and past events hosted in 2023

-Upcoming Council events and activities slated for 2024.

Background Information:
Kid ‘N Kin was traditionally the Camp Fire “Father Daughter Dinner”, but is now
a way for us to celebrate Camp Fire’s birthday and share Camp Fire with your family. Members are allowed to invite one special adult to attend as their guest. Don’t forget to dress to the theme and be ready to share your skit! We will also be recognizing our top candy sellers.

Members:

Please work with your leaders to create a potluck for your group only. Your group is responsible for providing dinner and a birthday cake or cupcakes to celebrate Camp Fire’s birthday! Please also remember to provide utensils, plates, and cups for your group.

All dues paying members of Camp Fire Central Coast of California may attend the meeting, and all members should have received this notice mailed to you, which included the annual meeting notice, agenda, as well as a slate of officers for the Board of Directors for the upcoming 2023-2025 year and a certified ballot.

Only Camp Fire Central Coast members who are in good standing will be allowed to join the meeting and a brief roll call will be held at the beginning of the meeting.

Pismo Beach Clam Festival Parade

A community tradition since 1946, the 76th annual Pismo Beach Clam Festival, attracts generations of families and visitors from all around, who look forward to spending three days overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Pismo Beach.

This family-friendly event features the Clam Festival parade on Saturday morning at 10am. Join us on Price Street for the Under the Sea-themed parade this year! Join Camp Fire as we march down the streets of Pismo Beach. More details about what to wear and decorations for our float will be coming soon!

The Clam Festival is a free event that includes live music, local vendors and food trucks, and a huge FREE Kids Zone that includes bounce houses and inflatables! Saturday morning Esteem Surf Shop will be hosting an awesome Surf Contest and you won’t want to miss the annual Clam Dig on Sunday for kids 11 and under.
